Bottles and played with them on the mats. The baby's were tired so were asleep earlier than usual. When they go to sleep we get send to the visitors room until they wake up at 1:30. I had lunch with the girls and then I took the bus to the day care. There were a lot more children than there were yesterday but I had brought plenty of stuff so I was okay. I set pieces of paper out on the floor and celetaped them down so that they couldn't move around. It took me a good 20 minutes to get the children to fit in front of the piece of paper, they just didn't under stand. I mixed up the paint Which really watery so I knew with using there hands the water paint was going to get all over there clothes. In the morning I had drawn up my family l members using stick figures and drawn my house and also found out the Sinhalese words for family and draw. I thought id have it sorted and the kids would understand but they couldn't understand my terrible Sinhalese and they didn't understand my
Drawing. One of the ladies managed to kind of explain what they need to do and then finally they had it. I don't think they understood the meaning of drawing there family members because they all drew just them and there mum and dad. Surely they had brothers and sisters! One of the boys was so cute and he obviously understood me and drew him self and his siblings along with his house before any of them had even finished drawing there houses. After everyone was done they were a mess with paint all over them oops. We lay all the paintings on the ground and I got all the kids to stand around them and I took a photo. At the end of the day when I left the kids were shocked that I said they could bring there paintings home, I think they thought I was going to take them all. I'm going back again tomorrow so I need to think of something again to bring the kids as an activity to do! I haven't been a child in so long I can't rmemeber what were games and crafts I used to do.
